“You’re in the hot zone now” - Covid 19 benefit edition
“By ourselves we suffer serious limitations. Together we can be something wonderful.” Max DePree, the former CEO of the Herman Miller Company and author of the book “Leadership Is an Art”.
During this unprecedented time a group of individuals have pulled together and are creating something wonderful and courageous. The Front Line medical workers are putting their lives on the line, for us. They have redefined my definition of what it means to be a hero. A friend of mine, Christine, is one of these heroes. She chose to leave her home, family, and safety, volunteering to go to the hot zone. Below is a recent FB post of hers.
In honor of all the front line workers, I am offering a new limited edition fine art print “You’re in the Hot Zone Now” as a benefit edition.
20% of the proceeds will be donated equally to Feeding America and First Responders Children’s Foundation, this limited offer will end May 12, 2020. Your contribution will support our frontline healthcare heroes by providing meals and childcare assistance and funding medical supplies.
This 24” x 16” Archival Pigment Print is limited to 25 editions, each is signed and numbered.
In this time we all appreciate your support.
Christine Thomson, CphT
It’s a struggle. Mind verses itch. Mind verses ghost hair. Mind verses bead of sweat. Stop yourself... don’t touch your face! Don’t readjust your mask! The air you breathe must stay stale and humid and warm. Don’t risk a fresh breeze from behind the shield. The struggle is real, and it can end badly... yet you go. You go because you can make a difference and you have to tell yourself that repeatedly as you fight in your mind and continue on with your work. Don’t let that heartfelt tear fall when you witness compassion in its truest form. Don’t you do it! It could cause you to lose the battle that you want to fight and win. You’re in the hot zone now.... you’re crucial.
